Billy Ripken

Billy Ripken is one of the ugliest Major League Baseball players of all time. The former Baltimore Orioles second baseman and brother of Cal Ripken Jr. had an infamous “F*** Face” trading card that was accidentally released by Fleer in 1989. With a scowling face, close-cropped dark hair and thick, black-rimmed glasses, he certainly made a lasting impression as one of the least attractive baseball players of all time. Despite his looks, however, Ripken enjoyed a successful 12 year career in the Major Leagues, playing for the Orioles, Texas Rangers and Cleveland Indians. He finished his career with a .247 batting average, 506 RBIs, 79 home runs and 61 stolen bases. In addition to being an MLB player, he also served as a coach and manager in the minor leagues and was inducted into the Orioles Hall of Fame in 2009.

Rick Ankiel

Rick Ankiel is one of the most recognizable names in the history of Major League Baseball. His career began in 2000 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and he quickly became a fan favorite for his amazing pitching ability. Unfortunately, his time on the mound was cut short due to an elbow injury that eventually turned into a bout of wildness. Fernando Rodney

Fernando Rodney is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who was known for his unique and eccentric style on the mound. He was born in the Dominican Republic and made his Major League debut with the Detroit Tigers in 2002. During his career, Rodney played for seven different teams including the Los Angeles Angels, Seattle Mariners, Arizona Diamondbacks, and the San Diego Padres.

Rodney was renowned for his bow-and-arrow celebration that he would do after getting an out. This became so iconic that it even spawned its own clothing line! His nickname was “The Final Boss” due to his ability to close out games late in the game.

Unfortunately, Rodney had a penchant for giving up home runs and walks, which often led to his undoing. Despite this, he has compiled some impressive numbers over his 18-year career. He has saved 327 games, struck out 1083 batters, and posted a career ERA of 3.69. 

While Rodney was never considered a handsome player, he is often viewed as one of the most ugly players to ever play the game. From his slightly off-kilter eyes to his wild facial expressions and wind-up, Rodney’s uniqueness led to him being labelled as one of the ugliest players to ever step onto a Major League field.
