How to maintain good relations with investors?

There are different types of public relations depending on the segment of the population to which we direct our message.

Financial pr help build the financial reputation that a certain company has. It is about transmitting in a transparent and truthful way the culture of the organization, capturing the essence and achieving a high degree of credibility with society in general.

It is worth mentioning that it is a big mistake to think that financial public relations could be managed without total transparency. This is so because if you lie, society will end up knowing the truth and the reputation of the organization in question would be damaged in a way that is almost impossible to recover.

Investors are key to the development and growth of a company. Therefore, there must be a work team and a strategy dedicated to fostering successful relationships with them.

Investors become a competitive advantage for any organization. On more than one occasion, they represent the definitive factor for a decision to buy, sell or, for example, to improve a budget or project. To have good relations with them, it is not only necessary to keep a constant update between the two. According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, there are four pillars that achieve a good relationship. By complying with them, the nexus between investors and the companies where they operate will be successful.

1. The organization of visits for information purposes. Visiting potential or current investors is essential. With this, a closer contact is established, always taking into account a calendar and a suitable climate during the tours in the company.

2. Effective presentations and reports. This point promotes communication, feedback and analysis of topics of interest to both parties. These reports are also used for events that seek to attract new investors.

3. Establish a directory of investors. It must contain contact information, debts, the relationship with risk rating agencies, among other details.

4. Update and display on the website. Investors should appear on company pages if requested. In this way, other potential financial players witness the reputation and which market players favor the company and invest in it.

On the other hand, entrepreneurs must perform a series of tasks to cultivate and maintain relationships with their investors. For example, it is important to reserve as much time as possible for personal and favorable interaction with them, even making a trip if they are not in the same country. For a company that is about to start or is just in the development stage, an investor is a crucial element. That is why they must also include them in decision-making in the organization.

To develop these activities, it is essential to implement a communication strategy aimed exclusively at them. In addition, you need to create a work team that is dedicated to collecting and processing all the data to establish the necessary reports, simply and efficiently.

All of this is part of a corporate finance strategy. Relations with external agents are part of a growth and profitability plan that every company must carry out to ensure its competitiveness. Therefore, it is necessary to have specialists in the field who are capable of working and leading teams to meet these objectives.
