FROM THE AIRPORT TO YOUR HOTEL

Start with Your Hotel’s Website

First, go to the website of your hotel and seek for information about your location. Sometimes there is a link or map, or the information on the hotel, where we are, or even on the Contact Us page. If the hotel is a good location, the address of the hotel, the distance between the closest airport(s) and transit alternatives – including charges – will be available.

Use Google

Then I will go to Google and, for instance, seek for Rome Airport Transport. Ideally, this will lead you to the transport page of the airport, but also private transport and even blog postings with what other people propose. Blogs are the only difficulty that everybody is unique. A cheap airport guide will probably not assist you in bringing your six-man family into your hotel as rapidly and effectively as possible. . Check Uber or Lyft

Open the Uber or the Lyft app on your phone and place the pickup location at the airport on your hotel as destination. Ideally, do it at the same time of day as you arrive to get anticipated driving times and expected expenses.

Call Your Hotel

Usually I feel well what’s quickest, which is cheapest and what makes the most sense for us after checking at the hotel’s website, at Uber / Lyft and browsing for airport and hotel alternatives on the Internet. However, I shall phone the hotel and speak at the Concierge or Front Desk if I’m not 100 percent sure. They will be able to provide you all your transport choices while they have an incentive to sell you in the hotel’s private vehicle to the airport.

My Airport Transportation Priorities

I don’t care about what is inexpensive if I think about transportation. I mean, if it’s the cheapest choice, fine. But when we get to our destination – particularly by night – I discovered that we usually exhausted. Children do not like to move trains or underground lines with bags, and then walk half a mile to our hotel. You can also become scammed or stolen because you’re sleepy, or you can get lost in a new location. It’s worth it since your children want to save $10 or not to have a nightmare.

Taxi

A cab is typically the easiest and cheapest when it is a short journey from the airport to a hotel (if the hotel does not offer a shuttle). The trouble is that, unless a minivan taxi’s already in the wait, we generally have five passengers and will need two cabs.

Note: if at the airport you are coming up and you ask for a taxi, always say no, always go to the queue outside of the cab.

A Private Pickup

If I can schedule a private service for a bit more than cab or Uber for lengthy journeys (45 minutes or an hour), I’m going to do that. The only disadvantage is that generally we must wait till the motorist pays for a car space and gets his car. But at the airport it’s good to have someone waiting for you to know that they’ll have the correct car, and you’ll know the fee in advance.

The second advantage of privately held transportation is that when booking you can usually pay online, so you don’t have to find an ATM right on arrival. Uber/Lyft is the same.
