Don’t just go to a bong shop or head shop for all of your glass needs. Now, don’t click away a roll your eyes, I’m not just trying to get you to add another source to your collection, possibly bogging you down with shelves of the things like your buddy down the street. No, I am making a very specific suggestion here, and if you hear me out, you’ll wonder why you didn’t think of this.
When you visit the bong shop down the road, most of the bongs you see are going to fit into one of 3 categories. They will be either fairly cheap mass-produced glass, they will be plastic or metal, or they will be very unique one-of-a-kind pieces by local blowers. The cheap mass-produced glass is too fragile, and not very well-made, it just looks like it might be special upon first inspection. Plastic and metal are kind of crass, and not that pleasant to use.
Ergo, barring emergencies were you just need a replacement device and only have a little cash in your pocket, you pay a little more for the nicer, one-of-a-kind piece that fits your needs and your tastes. Far be it for me to discourage this, far be it from me even more so to discourage any kind of support of local artisans. Glassblowing is hard, I actually tried glassblowing briefly at one point, when I had an acquaintance that did it as a hobby. It is extremely difficult to say the least, so those skilled people deserve for their product to be loved and they deserve support.
But, what happens when it breaks? More likely than not, you’ll have to shell out a lot more money for another nice bong, and you can never replace the one you broke. What if you loved that bong? Don’t you cringe every time your buddies come over and they are careless with it? Well, this is why I’m saying you shouldn’t just buy bongs from your local shop. You should invest in a nice-quality, precision bong that while less unique, is affordable but still of the utmost quality. A bong that can stand up to a lot of use, even occasional small drops or tip overs without having to worry about it shattering. You want a bong that can stand up to cleaning, heavy use and hopefully be safely machine washable even. This is why you want to turn to one of the manufacturers in New Zealand, Australia or Europe that build Pyrex bongs with metal supports and modular designs that produce an excellent smoking experience, but one in which you aren’t worried about you or your buddies breaking. Not unlike your mother’s fine China, save your favorite, unique bongs for special occasions.
Shisha Glass is your one-stop online shop for these high quality, machine precision bongs ready for heavy daily use. Not only are they still excellent, but given they are sustained models, you can always replace them if they break, and considering the price is a lot lower than you may think, you will have to break your bank every time you break your bong!
