If you have followed the career of Mindy Kaling, you would know that she is the unofficial queen of comedy. From being a writer, executive producer, and actor on ‘The Office’ to creating her own comedy shows like ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral,’ she has made a brand of herself.
The most recent addition in to her successful career is the Netflix Original, teen series, ‘Never Have I Ever.’ The show centers around a teenage Indian-American girl, Devi, trying to live her life to the fullest while bearing the restrictions imposed by her mother. If you have been through the second season of the series, you would be glad to know that Netflix has renewed it for a third season.
Whilst waiting for the trendiest teenage comedy-romance, there are a lot of other titles that you should devour and if you are ready, I have an A-list of recommendations for you. As the title suggests, ‘Freaks and Geeks’ is a series about the two groups at Chippewa Valley High School, referred to as freaks and geeks. The general mottos of both the groups are far apart, but that is the funny part of the show. Set in the 1980s, this show brings out the social adversities that high school students faced at the time. While it was canceled after the first season, its popularity has only grown since the original release.
